FAO Participate in the conference and the annual fair of Arab Women Investors Union ?The Joint Arab Investment and the International Cooperation Facing the Actual Challenges? Sponsored by the League of Arab states
The Arab Women Investors Union is organizing a conference on “The Joint Arab Investment and the International Cooperation Facing the Actual Challenges” sponsored by the League of Arab states, the Arab Labor Organization and the Economic Unity and In partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. This conference is taking place from 2 - 4 April 2013 at Hilton Ramses Hotel and its opening ceremony will be held in the League of Arab states on 2 April 2013.

The Conference objectives: 

The concept of this conference is to attract Arab migrant investments to be resettled in States of the region and cooperate with global technological expertise in order to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development for our beloved homeland in light of the challenges which provides multiple jobs opportunities for youth in the Arab world.

Conference also contributes to provide fully contribution to promote the joint Arab action, where works on merging between small and medium-business entities for the development of the regional economy against of giant economic conglomerates, also seeks to bilateral trade exchange from an integrative perspective.

1. Agricultural investment to face the food security and anti-poverty and unemployment issues with cooperation with cooperatives.

2. Social Responsibility and their three dimensions (the government -the private sector -civil society).

3. Review the situations of Arab Women as compared with their counterparts in the European Union and clarify their role in the development.

4. Investment in tourism considering the environmental dimension and quality management in the tourism and hospitality sector because of their impact on achieving overall economic development.

5. Investment in health and improve the quality of nursing and hotel services to get the global attraction especially because of the excellent medical staff owned by countries in the region.

7. Review of a successful experiment for joint Arab investment in reality.

9. Role of the banks and investment funds to attract Arab investments and resettlement them within the Arab region under the challenges.

12. Support and activate the initiative of the African Arab Bridge on the ground.

13. Investment in the Industrial parks which aims to work on forming regional Arab industrial companies to be a strong fundamental base of the Arab Common Market and support environmentally friendly industrial projects.
