In the Jordanian capital, Amman, the FAO’s Multi-Disciplinary Team for Oriental Near East (SNO) will be organizing Expert Consultation Meeting on Livestock Activities in the Periurban Areas and their Impacts on Environment, which will fall from 14-16 June 2011.

Experts in Livestock Production and Environment from around the SNO countries, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, along with technical officers from FAO-HQ and FAO-SNO will be participating in this three-day meeting.

During the meeting, which is co-organized by the University of Jordan, sub-regional and country reports prepared by FAO-commissioned consultants will be presented and discussed.
