Ways to Support Farming Communities & Scientists in FAO?s Coming Field /Forage Crops Production Expert Consultation Meeting

A coming Expert Consultation Meeting organized by The FAO’s Multi-Disciplinary Team for Oriental Near East (SNO) on Field /Forage Crops Production is going to be held from 13-14 June, in the heart of Lebanon, Beirut.

Participants/experts, FAO regional and headquarter officers, along with Plant Production Officer-SNO, will present papers and ideas during the two-day consultation meeting.

The Consultation Meeting’s work plan is formed to present the national experience in order to discuss issues related to Field/Forage crops. In Addition to that, the meeting targets to discuss the possibilities of Forage production and establishment of irrigated pasture by using treated sewage effluent, industrial waste water, brackish water, production of good quality hay for export, and the possibility of establishment of Sub-Regional Plant Production Forum.
