The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and its partners are preparing Regional Agro-Industries Forum for the Middle East and North African Region. The forum shall take place in Beirut – Lebanon, on 15 - 18 November 2011.

The Regional Agro-Industries Forum (RAIF) is committed to enhance the role of Agro-Industries through promoting the involvement of all the stakeholders in agri-food supply chains to reach food security, employment generation and sustainable economic growth in the Middle East and North African (MENA) Region.

The most important stakeholders including Governments, Organizations and the most relevant Private Companies will be invited to participate in this event during 3 days.

The attendants will participate actively in the RAIF, which conclusions will be the base for the future guidelines in Agro-business for the MENA region, so their opinions will be the base to detect the consequent intervention areas for both the private and the public sector initiatives.
