This two-day technical meeting involving various ministries aims to promote social protection as a tool for rural poverty reduction and resilience in the NENA Region.

Its objective is also to identify relevant and realistic ways to bring about policy, regulatory, programmatic and/or institutional change at national and regional levels.

As a result of the meeting, member countries and partners will have forged partnerships and developed recommendations for a more coordinated approach to social protection with support of FAO and other partners.
