FAO support farmers with silage making through its Farmer Field Schools

Silage-making has been a great alternative for farmers due to its high nutritional value for animals, which has improved animal health and increased milk production by up to 30 percent. FAO has been promoting silage-making since 2022 through farmers field schools. It reached about 9 241 livestock keepers in six governorates.
