A group of 22 undergraduate students from the Governorate of Qalioubeya, visited today, Wednesday April 11th, FAO premises to learn about FAO’s works in the Region and in Egypt.

They met with the FAO Representative in Egypt and a number of FAO experts who explained how FAO works to promote nutrition, food security and sustainable agricultural development in their country and the Near East Region.

Students also participated in an interactive session about the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet to health, and engaged themselves in an interesting discussion about the way they eat and use food.

After learning how to access and use the websites of FAO and FAORNE for information dissemination and knowledge sharing, students visited the in-house library and were given a number of FAO’s publications about nutrition which target the youth in particular.
