Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is delighted to invite you to a side event that will take place in the margins of the Second Session of the Preparatory Committee for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) on Thursday, 5 December 2024, from 3:00-4:30 PM (EDT), Conference Room 9, UN Headquarters in New York.
The side event aims to spotlight FAO's endeavors in financing for development, shedding light on its strategies and successes in addressing global challenges and catalyzing collective action towards building more resilient and sustainable agrifood systems. The theme: "Prevention and Mitigation of Food Crises and Transformation of Agrifood Systems" underscores the FAO's primary goal to enhance financing for mitigating food crises and agrifood system transformation, making them more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
The side event will comprise presentations, a panel discussion and an interactive session designed to engage participants and facilitate knowledge exchange. It will feature expert speakers, government representatives, and stakeholders sharing their experiences, insights, and recommendations.
