Harvard University’s Amartya Sen to deliver the McDougall Memorial Lecture

Rome, 15 June 2013-- The Twenty-ninth Session of the FAO Council in 1958 instituted the McDougall Lecture in memory of Frank L. McDougall, eminent Australian personality and one of the founding fathers of the Organization. Professor Amartya Sen, a Thomas W. Lamont University Professor, and Professor of Economics and Philosophy, at Harvard University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Economics, delivered his lecture at the opening of the 38th Session of FAO Conference.
