20 March 2015, Rome--- According to a new report released by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, carbon emissions from forests dropped by 25% between 2001-2015. Better forest management and slowdown in deforestation contributed to a reduction in emissions. With this positive news, there is also information highlighting possible areas of concern. The news figures also show that emissions from forest degradation are going up.

Kenneth MacDicken is a Senior Forestry Officer with FAO. In the following interview he will break down the news of the study and explain what these figures mean.
