Ministers meet at FAO to discuss role of commodity markets

6 October 2014, Rome--- FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva opened a Ministerial Meeting for commodity markets today in Rome, with a great push in support of small farmers. According to Graziano Da Silva, Governments need to review the way international agricultural commodity markets are governed keeping in mind this sector employs more than a billion people globally and accounts for a fifth of the world’s economic activity.
