Ethiopia: Worst of El Niño over, La Niña looming

12 August 2016, Rome - Ethiopia has staved off the worst of El Niño's potential to devastate, but possible impacts of La Niña looming are large for the country. This is according to the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, which is calling for forty-five million dollars (USD) to help keep the Ethiopian agriculture sector on its feet. This latest call for support is based on a new humanitarian assessment that has been released for the country.
