Pacific-Islands:Improving food security and nutrition, building resilient livelihoods and promote sustainable development

11 November 2017, Rome--- Leaders of several states in the Pacific and other top officials from the region gathered today at FAO in Rome to discuss their region's food security and nutrition challenges, the impact of climate change, disaster risk reduction and the building of resilient livelihoods.

The high-level meeting, chaired by FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva, took place ahead of the Pacific leaders' participation at the UN Climate Conference COP23 in Bonn.
