Rio+20: the role of sustainable forestry Towards a better conservation of forest
In developing countries, forest degradation account for almost 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Countries have engaged in a global effort in order to better manage the earth's forest resources and greater enhance their action in mitigating climate change effects worldwide. The priority to monitoring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions is high on the agenda of the Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development.
