The Country Programme Framework 2018 - 2022 for Nigeria describes FAO’s medium term assistance priorities and results, derived from nationally defined priorities and objectives, to be achieved over the five-year period of the country’s programming cycle. In order to ensure its national ownership, the CPF has been prepared in close collaboration with key Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and major development partners. The CPF describes the five broad priority areas and outcomes for FAO assistance in the country.

  • 27 – 31 March 2023: 5-day capacity building workshop for rangers, tour guides and managers on biosafety and biosecurity measures. In Jos Plateau state
  • 3 – 7 April 2023: Training of Wildlife Experts on emergency management using FAO GEMP tool, in Jos Plateau state.
  • 3 – 7 April 2023: 5-day training of relevant personnel on collection and handling of mpox specimens from point of collection, processing, shipment, storage and referral to the laboratory in Jos Plateau state.
  • 5 - 7 April 2023: Multisectoral Coordination Mechanism Workshop (with WHO) in Abuja.
  • 17 April 2023: Mpox field mission to Adamawa, Edo, Imo, Lagos, Plateau and Rivers states.
  • 24 – 27 April 2023: Foot and Mouth Diseases validation workshop, in Abuja.
