Planet Forward: A Zero Hunger Future

It may be a Herculean task, but global hunger is not an unsolvable problem. Hundreds of countries around the world are committing themselves to turning its tide by 2030.
This was precisely what four Planet Forward students set out to learn when they were invited to attend the UN Food and Agricultural Organization’s (UN-FAO) Committee on Food Security in Rome, Italy, in October 2018. Students met with policymakers, leading academics, economists, and more to discover the people, ideas, and innovations that could make our planet hunger free in only a few years. From the impact of hunger on health to youth involvement in agriculture; from the role of the European Union to indigenous communities to eradicate hunger, our students bring you four unique perspectives to the hunger narrative — a narrative soon to change for the better.
