Rome – The One Country One Priority Product (OCOP) Initiative Team has been honoured with the prestigious One FAO Team Award 2024 for its outstanding achievements and exceptional collaboration. This recognition highlights the team's dedication to promoting sustainable agricultural practices and empowering local communities across the globe.

This recognition reflects the great teamwork, including the extended list of over 100 members from: 1) the OCOP Secretariat; 2) the OCOP Steering Committee; 3) the Office of NSP Director; 4) the actively engaged offices and divisions; 5) the five FAO Regional Offices; 6) the actively-engaged FAO Sub-regional Offices; and 7) the FAO Representations of the OCOP demonstration and selected key pilot countries.

Launched in 2021, the OCOP initiative has united 91 countries in promoting 55 unique agricultural products, each with special characteristics tied to local geography and culture. By optimizing food production, processing, storage, and marketing, OCOP is supporting farmers and value chain actors on five continents to produce more with less.

We thank everyone involved for their strong support and extend congratulations to the entire team for this well-deserved recognition!
