Advancing One Health through the One Health Knowledge Nexus: Knowledge, partnerships, action

31/03/2026

31 March 2026 | 14:00-15:30 CET | Online

This One Health Summit Festival event will showcase how the One Health Knowledge Nexus (OHKN) is accelerating One Health action by fostering scientific cooperation, strengthening surveillance and prevention capacities, and catalyzing multisectoral partnerships.

Launched in 2023, the OHKN connects more than 3 000 professionals worldwide through eight specialized Communities of Practice. Six of these communities are led by FAO, and two are coordinated under the Quadripartite collaboration (FAO, UNEP, WHO and WOAH). These communities focus on key areas including One Health governance, biosecurity, antimicrobial resistance, emerging disease drivers, information and communication technologies for One Health, good agricultural practices, and return on investment for One Health.

The webinar will open with an introduction to the OHKN and its role in supporting the implementation of One Health in line with FAO’s vision for advancing One Health in agrifood systems and the Quadripartite One Health Joint Plan of Action (2022-2026)

A panel bringing together representatives from government, research, civil society, the private sector, and the Quadripartite will share experiences demonstrating how coordinated learning, knowledge sharing, and co-creation of solutions contribute to One Health implementation. Speakers will present practical examples of tools and guidance developed through the OHKN.

The discussion will provide an opportunity to share experiences, identify knowledge needs, and offer recommendations for future OHKN workstreams.
