The Human African Trypanosomiasis (HAT) Elimination Technical Advisory Group (HAT-e-TAG) is a technical advisory group established by the WHO Neglected Tropical Diseases Department. The HAT-e-TAG acts as an advisory body on setting the criteria and procedures to assess HAT elimination. The group will meet for the fourth time in Geneva on 28-29 November 2019. Previous meetings held in 2016, 2017 and 2018 focused on (1) the global indicators of HAT elimination as a public health problem (PHP), (2) national indicators to assess HAT elimination as a PHP at the national level, and (3) templates for national dossiers of validation of elimination of HAT as PHP.
