EU-STREIT Programme assisted in the development of the Sepik E-Agriculture Master Plan: ICT Minister

PNG's Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Timothy Maisu, in his meeting with FAO DG, QU Dongyu, highlighted how the EU-STREIT PNG Programme is working on "digitalising the value chain of key commodities such as vanilla and cocoa." The  PNG Minister for ICT underscored that "ICT has been part of the EU-STREIT, and the Programme provided technical assistance in the development of the Sepik E-Agriculture Master Plan." EU-STREIT PNG reaches and supports 3,000 plus rural women and girls in Papua New Guinea

FAO-led EU-STREIT PNG Programme collaborates with New Guinea Binatang Research Centre to conduct a field study on the use of fire ants as a means of biological control of cocoa pod borer (CPB) infestation.
