25 сентрября 2015 года 193 государства-члена Организации Объединенных Наций приняли Повестку дня в области устойчивого развития на период до 2030 года - включающую 17 Целей устойчивого развития (ЦУР) и 169 задач - в рамках которой международное сообщество взяло на себя обязательство покончить с нищетой и голодом и достичь устойчивого развития в период с 2016 по 2030 гг. Шесть месяцев спустя для отслеживания прогресса по 169 задачам был разработан набор глобальных показателей для ЦУР, содержащий 230 индикаторов, и ставший основой структуры отчетности по ЦУР. Количество индикаторов – в четыре раза большее, чем по ЦРТ – ставит перед странами чрезвычайно сложную задачу....

Achieving the food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture goals by 2030 requires a coordinated set of actions on a number of fronts: coherent policies and programmes, an increase of investments in line with national priorities and greater collaboration across different sectors and stakeholders. This series of Policy Guidance Notes ensures that policy makers have the support they need to understand how sectoral issues affect food security and nutrition and to recognise how to incorporate these considerations into their policies.
