FAO’s new private sector CONNECT portal now live!

26/04/2021 -

FAO is pleased to launch the private sector CONNECT portal, following the endorsement of FAO’s Strategy for Private Sector engagement (2021-25).

The portal is designed as a ‘one-stop shop’ scoping FAO and private sector engagements:

  • For the private sector - to engage, browse and discover key opportunities for partnership and how to work with FAO, both formally and informally;
  • For FAO Members - to view how FAO is working with the private sector and search for signed formal agreements through a password protected login for full transparency;
  • For all FAO staff - to review private sector entities that may support areas key of work, to suggest areas for private sector partnership and to find out more about FAO’s private sector partnerships cycle and due diligence for engagement.

The CONNECT portal is work in progress and throughout this year additional functionalities will be added, including a full set of FAO staff capacity development tools. In addition, a corporate relations management system (CRMs) will be embedded to assist private sector focal points throughout the Organization manage relations and stages of partnership online.

We all acknowledge, that the private sector – big or small, local or global – is a key ally in the global fight against food insecurity, malnutrition and rural poverty. Please do visit the portal and provide us with your feedback ([email protected]) on how to further develop and improve it for your needs. Chinese, Arabic and Russian language versions of the CONNECT Portal will be available shortly
