A number of committees and working groups have supported the Governing Body to make the Multilateral System fully operational, facilitate its successful implementation, and enhance its functioning.

The policy work on the Multilateral System has been complex and comprehensive, bringing together Contracting Parties in the collaborative spirit of the International Treaty to develop solutions jointly and by considering inputs from the multiple groups of stakeholders.
