التعاون والشراكات
منذ اعتماد بروتوكول ناغويا، دعا الجهاز الرئاسي الأطراف المتعاقدة إلى ضمان أن تكون أي تدابير تشريعية أو إدارية أو سياسية تتخذ لتنفيذ كل من المعاهدة الدولية واتفاقية التنوع البيولوجي أو بروتوكول ناغويا التابع لها، متسقة ومتآزرة. وقعت الأمانتان مذكرة تعاون وهما تنظمان ورش عمل مشتركة.
هيئة الموارد الوراثية للأغذية والزراعة
كانت الهيئة هي المنتدى الذي تم فيه التفاوض بشأن المعاهدة الدولية ويتيح التعاون المستمر تماسك السياسة وتكامل الجهازين في مجال الموارد الوراثية النباتية للأغذية والزراعة. واعتمد الجهازان بيانا مشتركا للتعاون وهناك علاقة وثيقة جدا بين مكتبيهما وأمانتيهما.
حشد الموارد
أقر أعضاء المعاهدة الدولية بالنتائج الإيجابية لاستراتيجية التعاون مع المنظمات الدولية ذات الصلة الرامية لتسهيل تنفيذ استراتيجية التمويل، ولاسيما صندوق تقاسم المنافع الخاص بها، واعترفوا بأهمية وقيمة بناء الشراكات فيما يتعلق بحشد الموارد والبرمجة وفعالية تشغيل الصندوق.
اتساق السياسات
طلب الجهاز الرئاسي إلى الأمين أن ينشئ ويحافظ على التعاون مع المنظمات والمعاهدات الدولية الأخرى ذات الصلة بشأن المسائل التي تغطيها المعاهدة وأن يواصل المشاركة في الاجتماعات ذات الصلة للاتحاد الدولي لحماية الأنواع الجديدة من النباتات، ومنظمة الصحة العالمية، والمنظمة العالمية للملكية الفكرية ومنظمة التجارة العالمية واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ وغيرها.
