10th meeting - EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste
Hybrid Event, 18/03/2021
Online only - 10.20 - 17.45 (CET)
The 10th meeting of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste will be held virtually and will provide the opportunity to discuss recent developments in food loss and waste prevention across the EU, as well as on an international level.
It will start with an opening statement by EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides, followed by a discussion on the re-establishment of the Platform for a new mandate, as of 2022. Member States and private sector organisations will also take the floor to present concrete initiatives that demonstrate how the work of the Platform and its recommendations for action, adopted in 2019, supported their activity on the ground.
Nathalie Chaze, Director, Food sustainability, international relations, will be chairing the meeting (in English only; translation will not be provided).
Interested stakeholders can follow the discussions live via webstreaming. The recording and the presentations will be published on the European Commission’s food waste website shortly after the meeting takes place.
