FIRST - Food and Nutrition Security Impact, Resilience, Sustainability and Transformation
FAO partners with the European Union towards the common goal of eradicating extreme poverty and hunger around the world. This long-lasting working relationship was further consolidated in July 2015 following the launch of FIRST - the Food and Nutrition Security Impact, Resilience, Sustainability and Transformation programme.
FIRST is a policy assistance mechanism that provides governments with policy assistance and capacity development in support of improved food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture in selected priority countries, territories, and sub-regional organizations.
