Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN)
The Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition “FSN Forum” is an online platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue on food security and nutrition facilitated by FAO’s Agricultural Development Economics Division.
The FSN Forum allows registered members and other stakeholders to engage in policy dialogue and knowledge sharing on food security and nutrition both globally and in targeted geographic areas.

Global Action Programme on Food Security and Nutrition in Small Island Developing States: Supporting the implementation of the Samoa Pathway
The Small Island Developing States (SIDS) share unique and particular vulnerabilities, resulting in a complex set of food security and nutrition challenges. The complexity and magnitude of these challenges are daunting and far too great for any one agency, organization or country to solve on their own. Closer international cooperation and a more integrated approach are needed so that all stakeholders can play their part in supporting SIDS in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Strengthening Public Forestry Institutions
Most countries have made significant efforts to develop, revise and adapt their forest policies, programmes and laws to make them relevant to the changing needs of society. However, inadequate institutional structures, management approaches and capacities often make it difficult for those policies and laws to be put into practice.
In many cases, public forestry institutions are adjusting to change only slowly, creating a gap between society’s expectations and what institutions are able to deliver. Many public forestry administrations are expected to carry out traditional functions more efficiently and also to perform additional new roles.

E-learning Modules on Nutrition-sensitive Agriculture and Food Systems
This series of e-learning modules assists professionals from any food and agriculture field in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of nutrition-sensitive programmes, investments and policies. Developed through a multi-stakeholder consultative process and using a scenario-based and experiential learning approach, the modules cover all forms of malnutrition and a diversity of contexts.

Toolkit on nutrition-sensitive agriculture and food systems
The toolkit is an integrated package of guidance on how to design, implement, monitor and evaluate nutrition-sensitive food and agriculture policies and programmes. It is the result of a consultative process within FAO and with external partners, including development partners (in particular the World Bank and the European Commission), NGOs and academia. FAO and the SDGs. Indicators: Measuring Up to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
On 25 September 2015, the 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – including 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets – committing the international community to end poverty and hunger and achieve sustainable development between 2016 and 2030. Six months later, a global indicator framework for the SDGs – comprising 230 indicators - was identified to monitor the 169 targets and track progress, becoming the foundation of the SDGs’ accountability structure. Tenure of land, fisheries and forests
The daily food and incomes of billions of people, particularly the rural poor, are determined by their access to land, fisheries and forests.
