EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION FIRST/LAST OUTBREAK: In December 2017, PPR was reported for the first time although it appeared that PPR might has been present in the country for a long before. More than 13.000 cases registered, 8.560 died (66 percent) in few weeks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: FAO, the World Bank, IFAD and AU-IBAR supported PPR control. Two round of vaccination carried out with almost 82 percent sero-conversion.
