Nastavak je prirucnika “Glavne bolesti u pcelarstvu: Dobra pcelarska praksa” izdanog 2018. godine. Eksperimentalni zoopro#lakticki institut Toskane u Laziju (tal. Istitu to Zoopro#lattico Sperimentale del Lazio e della Toscana, IZSLT) “M. Aleandri” razvio je ovaj prirucnik u suradnji s Odjelom za istraživanje i proširenje Organizacije za hranu i poljoprivredu UN-a (engl. Research and Extension Unit of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAO), Me'unarodne federacije pcelarskih udruženja (APIMONDIA) i FAO Servisa za zdravlje životinja. De#nicije i smjernice dobre pcelarske prakse koje se navode u prirucniku usvojene su temeljem provjera valjanosti provedenih u suradnji s projektom BPRACTICES. Prirucnik je dio serijala Tehnologije i prakse za male poljoprivredne proizvo'ace (TECA) FAO Odjela za istraživanje i proširenje (AGDR).     In an effort to support beekeepers in the sustainable production of good quality beehive products, FAO TECA platform, Apimondia (International Federation of Beekeepers’ Associations), Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Lazio e della Toscana (IZSLT) “M. Aleandri”, Rome, Italy, and the BPractices project, have worked together, with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations’ Animal Health Service, to develop and publish on TECA, a set of 11 “TECA technologies” on the main bee diseases and bee health. The information sheets are designed following the TECA standards, to help beekeepers, and those providing advisory services to the beekeepers, correctly identify honey bee diseases, apply the correct treatment and to prevent them. The TECA thematic catalogue "Good beekeeping practices: Main bee diseases" groups the 11 practices together in a printed document for distribution among potential users and partners of TECA.

    The study shows the results of an on-line international survey elaborated as a risk assessment tool concerning the use of antimicrobials and the awareness on antimicrobial resistance among beekeepers. The survey was conducted in collaboration between the Animal Production and Health Division of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), Appalachian State University (CARE) and the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Lazio e della Toscana (IZSLT). The survey was disseminated for a period of 12 months in ten languages at the global level through the Technologies and Practices for small agricultural producers (TECA) Platform of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with the International Federation of Beekeepers’ Association (Apimondia).
