The State of Food Security and Nutrition 2020. Transforming Food Systems for Affordable Healthy Diets
The number of people affected by hunger globally has been rising since 2014. This report spotlights the links between food security and nutrition, introduces new analysis of the cost and affordability of healthy diets, presents valuations of the health and climate-change costs associated with food consumption patterns and concludes by discussing policies and strategies to transform food systems to ensure affordable healthy diets.

This edition provided estimates of the percentage of the world's food lost from production up to the retail level, suggesting that identifying and understanding critical loss points in specific supply chains is crucial to defining appropriate measures.

This report presents FAO’s vision of the contribution of the livestock sector to each of the 17 goals, and addresses the challenges this sector faces to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

This report examines how pastoral mobility has been impacted by the creation of unnatural boundaries within pastoralists’ landscapes and how societies cope with these constraints through legal or informal arrangements.

Scientific review of the impact of climate change on plant pests – A global challenge to prevent and mitigate plant-pest risks in agriculture, forestry and ecosystems
This study indicates that climate change has already expanded some pests’ host range and geographical distribution, and may further increase the risk of pest introduction to new areas. This calls for international cooperation to help countries adapt their pest risk management measures to climate change.
