La Conferencia Mundial sobre Producción Vegetal Sostenible: lo que necesita saber

La primera Conferencia Mundial sobre Producción Vegetal Sostenible en los dias 2 a 4 de noviembre de 2022, servirá de foro neutral para que los Miembros de la FAO, junto con agricultores, científicos, organismos de desarrollo, encargados de la formulación de politicas, extensionistas, líderes de opinión y representantes de la sociedad civil y el sector privado mantengan diálogos centrados en la innovación que permite crear sistemas eficientes de producción vegetal con resiliencia a las tensiones bióticas y abióticas, el cambio climático los peligros naturales y las perturbaciones geopolíticas
La agricultura del mañana tendrá que producir mas alimentos con una huella ecologica menor, y contribuir a sistemas agroalimentarios locales diversificados y fuertes que sean mas resilientes a las crisis y perturbaciones geopolíticas.
En la Conferencia se generarán datos fidedignos para l el cumplimiento de los objetivos del Marco estratégico para 2022-2031 de la FAO que llevará a que los sistemas agroalimentarios para sean MÁS eficientes, inclusivos, resilientes y sostenibles con miras a conseguir una mejor producción, una mejor nutrición, un mejor medio ambiente y una vida mejor sin dejar a nadie atrás.
La Conferencia se centrará en aspectos fundamentales de los sistemas de producción vegetal sostenible agrupados en siete temas:
