Using REDD+ as a catalyst for countries to take action to achieve forest and land-related Nationally Determined Contributions was the focus of a high level side event, co-hosted by FAO, the UN-REDD Programme and the World Bank,  during the UNFCCC 22nd Conference of the Parties in 2016.
