Damage assessment after the earthquakes in Nepal

May 2015

Farming families affected by the Nepal earthquakes urgently need agricultural inputs – such as seeds and grain storage bags – to harvest their standing wheat crop, prepare rice beds and plant kitchen vegetable gardens.

Many affected rural families have lost their livestock. Surviving cattle, buffalo, goats and poultry urgently require feed, veterinary care and shelter, especially with the onset of the monsoon season.
