Since the Syrian conflict, the spread of trans-border animal diseases has become a major problem. Bruno Minjauw is FAO’S Resilience and Liaison officer in Lebanon. He describes why containing such diseases is so important and elaborates on other measures being put in place to safeguard the country’s food security and protect people’s livelihoods.
