Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) is a government-led exercise, with integrated support from the United Nations, the European Commission, the World Bank and other national and international actors. The PDNA approach encompasses two perspectives - the valuation of physical damages and economic losses, and the identification of human recovery needs based on information obtained from the affected population. These perspectives are integrated into a single assessment process to support the identification of early and long-term recovery prioritized needs, and to inform the development of a national recovery framework.
Volume B - provides Agriculture sector-specific technical guidance for assessment practitioners to participate in the PDNA.
