In observance of Human Rights Day, the Right to Food Team from FAO invites you to the launch of the report: Realizing the right to food in a changing world. The Right to Food Guidelines, 20 years on and beyond.

This milestone event marks two decades since the adoption of the Right to Food Guidelines. It is an opportunity to celebrate achievements, reflect upon ongoing challenges, and set priorities for advancing food security and nutrition through a human rights-based approach.

Event objectives:

  • highlight the impact of the right to food guidelines by celebrating 20 years of progress in advancing food security and nutrition
  • address key challenges by discussing barriers to ensuring the right to food for everyone and actions needed to overcome them
  • promote collaboration by encouraging joint efforts among UN actors and other stakeholders to create fair and inclusive agrifood systems.
