The Right to Food

Virtual parliamentary dialogues: Food Security and Nutrition in the time of Covid-19

Events - 02.03.2021

Due to their legislative, budgetary and oversight responsibilities, parliamentarians play a key role as changemakers. In the current context of COVID-19, they are uniquely able to mitigate the impacts of the pandemic on food security, nutrition and livelihoods. In both the containment and recovery phases of the pandemic, their actions can help ensure employment, economic inclusion and the right to food for all.

FAO, with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), organizes a series of virtual dialogues that aims to support legislators in addressing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
