FAO, ILO and IFAD are organizing a technical expert workshop on “Gaps, trends and current research in gender dimensions of agricultural and rural employment: differentiated pathways out of poverty”, which will be held in Rome from 31 March to 2 April 2009.
The papers selected for the workshop are now being reviewed by relevant experts in the three agencies. The workshop team is looking for one or two consultants to support the authors in the technical and analytical aspects.
The most urgent consultancy is the one for a Technical Consultant to help review the papers in February, and to participate in the workshop. The Terms of Reference included in the annexes contains more detailed information on the consultancy. The deadline for submitting applications to the first consultancy is 8 February 2009 (COB).
The second consultancy is for a Senior Consultant to assist the authors in finalizing for publication the papers presented at the Workshop. The consultant will also prepare an introductory chapter and (as appropriate) brief introductions for the different sections of the publication. The Terms of Reference included in the annexes contains more detailed information on the consultancy. The deadline for submitting applications to the second consultancy is 8 March 2009 (COB).
Please note that the two consultancies are consecutive and could be undertaken by the same person. Therefore the Workshop Team warmly encourages those who are interested to apply to both.
