Do you want to see – and taste – some of these products? Join us at the First FAO Global Exhibition: From Seeds to Foods, taking place from 10 to 13 October at the Park of Porta Capena in Rome. Farmers, producers, scientists and food enthusiasts from more than 140 Member Nations will come together to share their stories, innovations and products.
At the exhibition, you can witness the journey of food from seed to plate, explore innovative farming practices and experience interactive stalls, tastings, workshops and live cooking demonstrations.
OCOP is a FAO flagship global initiative that helps countries to focus on one strategic agricultural product and strengthen its entire value chain - from production to marketing while supporting sustainable agrifood systems and maximizing benefits for farmers and communities.
Products range from exotic fruits and crops to beverages, livestock and fisheries such as chestnut from Albania, jackfruit from Bangladesh, tea from China, amaranth from Mexico, chickpeas from Lebanon, Tambaqui fish from Brazil, and cocoa from Trinidad and Tobago.
