Harnessing the synergies between social protection and agriculture in Zambia

Promoting coherence and the articulation between social and productive interventions, which target the same population of poor smallholder farmers, can trigger synergistic effects with a grater rich than standalone programs. The complementarity can also contribute to increasing the resilience of households in the face of external shocks or crises, an argument that is particularly relevant in contexts such as the one we are currently facing as a result of COVID-19.
