Soils in the Digital Age

The Scottish Soils Discussion Group will be holding their 2014 meeting on World Soil Day and to launch the International Year of Soils 2015.

The objectives of this meeting are: (1) to showcase recent advances in soils science, particularly those relating to modelling, mapping and visualisation; (2) to provide a forum for people working in these areas of soil science to meet, discuss ongoing and future goals, and to develop ideas for collaboration and research.  We also want to try to identify ways in which work in this area can be used to satisfy societal needs and policy objectives.
