International Forum AGROPORT-2015

The conference is organized by the National Scientific Center "Institute for Soil Science and Agrochemistry Research named after A.N. Sokolovsky" (NSC ISSAR) and Non-Governmental Organization “Ukrainian Society of soil scientists and agrochemists”. 

The main mission of the conference is to provide the international platform for interdisciplinary exchange of experience in solving global problems of humanity like a conservation and an efficient use of the main natural resources of the earth - soil and soil cover. 

The objectives of the conference "Ukrainian soil is the basis of sustainable development” are to:

- raise the problems of the crucial role soil plays in food security, climate change adaptation and mitigation, essential ecosystem services, poverty alleviation and sustainable development; 

- identify practical methods for conservation and efficient use of soil and exchange of experience between leading experts in the field of soil science; 

- promote investment in sustainable soil management activities; 

- prepare and care the resolution and the concept of the state program for soil conservation; 

- educate public about the importance of soil for food security and essential ecosystem functions.
