„The Universe in the Soil“ (Vesmir v pude) Event and Exhibition

On Thursday September 24 from 9:30 to 18:00 in the square Premysl Otakar II., Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, scientists from the Biology Centre, Czech Academy of Science, organize the event called "The Universe in the Soil" to popularize the Soil and its importance for mankind. On the Ceske Budejovice main square the scientists will bring a mound of high-quality soil to demonstrate how the healthy soil looks like and to point out why we need to protect soils. Visitors will see the presentation of soil fauna, soil microorganisms and soil research. They will also receive practical advice  about  composting and soil management. People may also visit the photo exhibition and lectures with soil topics.
