Soil in systems- our soils link with healthy things in our lives

Short description

A local study of soils, their uses and values for rural primary schools of the Wimmera, using soil samples the children have brought from home:

1 parts soil is made up of

2 range of our home soil colours   

3 signs of healthy places as signs of soil health

4 values students place on their home soil  

Children report their soil results as Soil Stories.

This is Session 2 of a 4-session program funded in schools by the Wimmera Catchment Management Authority, and created for the schools by Jeanie Clark , enviroed4all® , Warracknabeal

Dates: July 15-31 in 12 sessions involving 200 children and their teachers, for 9 Wimmera school groups, Victoria, Australia
