International Year of Soil Teacher Workshop

The United Nations declared 2015 as the International Year of Soil. The University of Florida - IFAS has developed a FREE "Teach the Teacher " workshop regarding the importance of soil and how to incorporate this topic into the classroom. The workshop is aimed at middle school and high school teachers who teach agriculture, biology, horticulture, physical sciences and environmental biology. Agenda is provided below. Materials provided will include PowerPoint lectures with transcripts and standard operating procedures for demonstrations along with a list of needed materials.
