Mandate, main activities of the institution and competencies
  • Mission statement: The Agency for Supervision of Forest Resources and Wildlife - OSINFOR was created by Legislative Decree No. 1085, June 28, 2008. He is responsible at the national level to monitor and oversee the sustainable use and conservation forest and wildlife resources and environmental services from the forest granted by the State through various forms of exploitation.
  • Main activities: supervise and oversee the sustainable use and conservation of forest resources and wildlife.
  • Competencies: Supervise and monitor in compliance with the authorization certificates and respective management plans.

    • Design and implementation of Geographic Information System Supervision of Forest and Wildlife
    • Implementation of OSINFOR’s Observatory for legal trade in timber, that shows forest management plans with and without risk for the utilization of forest resources and wildlife. Winner of Best Practices of Public Management 2016, Category of Control and Law Enforcement
