Croatia Terroirs – Geographical Indications

A joint FAO and EBRD programme has led to mandarins from Croatia's Neretva Valley and sausage from the Baranja region in the east of the country winning the right to bear the Geographical Indication (GI) status - a mark for goods that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities, reputation or characteristics that are essentially attributable to that origin — boosting their competitiveness in the European market.
