First FAO Global Exhibition. Get ready for the First FAO Global Exhibition: From Seeds to Foods!
06/08/2025
The world of food and agriculture has changed considerably since 1945. The pace of change is increasingly rapid. As part of celebrations to mark FAO’s 80th Anniversary, the First FAO Global Exhibition - From Seeds to Foods will showcase the rich traditions and groundbreaking technologies that shape how we grow, share and enjoy food on 10-13 October in Parco di Porta Capena, next to FAO headquarters.
Food connects us all. It shapes our daily lives, cultures and health. Yet we rarely pause to consider the journey it takes to reach us. These fascinating journeys are the stories of From Seeds to Foods.
Hundreds of exhibitors from around the world will take visitors on an informative and entertaining journey of discovery along the value chains of field crops, horticulture, livestock, forestry and fisheries.
Seeds are the starting point for most of the foods we eat but they also symbolize the beginning of life, the start of the journey, for all the amazing diversity of foods on our planet.
Join us to explore the world of foods
Visitors will be able to see food production technologies and agricultural products, taste foods from various culinary traditions, hear from agrifood system experts, and see agricultural machinery and advanced technology close-up.
“The visitor experience is designed to spark curiosity, foster connection, and deepen appreciation for the incredible journeys that a diversity of foods takes to reach us," said Yurdi Yasmi, Director of FAO Plant Production and Protection Division." We will be showcasing agricultural products and foods from around the world with lots of the latest tech to show what is shaping the future of our agrifood systems." he added.
This historic exhibition, held in collaboration with the City of Rome (Roma Capitale), will be free to enter and be staged in Parco di Porta Capena – the first time that FAO has held an exhibition of this kind outside headquarters.
See you there!
