Regional training on Geographical Indications, May 2017, Kampot, Cambodia

This training, facilitated by CIRAD and REDD, will take place from 22 to 26 May 2017 in Kampot, Cambodia. It aims to develop participants’ knowledge of geographical indications as a market access and protection tool, their potential contribution to local and sustainable development, and their “place” in the various voluntary standards and other differentiating tools. The training includes field visits to pepper plantations in Kampot, as well as visits to markets and restaurants, in order to illustrate some aspects of geographical indications and allow participants to interact with producers, processors and traders.
