Competitive Strategy and Advanced Competitive Strategy

This course on competitive strategy looks at how businesses and organizations behave in situations in which strategic decisions are interdependent, i.e. where actions from one business/ organization affect their competitors' actions and profits and vice versa. Using the basic tools of game theory, the course analyses how businesses choose strategies to attain competitive advantage.
The course on advanced competitive strategy will introduce new topics and modules with even more real world examples than in the previous course Competitive Strategy. The course looks at how companies can build up and maintain their customer base by increasing switching costs, and how firms can increase their profits by pursuing suitable price discrimination and product differentiation strategies.
